it is I

I graduated from BA illustration with animation and MA illustration at the Manchester School of Art, where I currently also work.

In my personal practice, I mostly work within the realm of reportage illustration (an up-to-date account of that can be found on my Instagram page). I like to explore themes of nonsense, absurdity, and beauty of every-day life. On my recently completed MA, I have used drawing on location as a primary research tool and tried to push it towards the direction of sport. Observation is key; inspiration comes from looking and understanding is brought by drawing. Through active research, conversation, and by physically placing oneself within the subject in question, one deepens their knowledge and comes closer to full understanding.
